How to compress an image to 100KB
Upload directly above with 100KB already selected. TargetKB searches JPEG or WebP quality settings and reduces dimensions if needed. Check the downloaded image before submitting it to a portal.
- The compressor on this page starts with 100KB selected. Change it only if your upload requires another limit.
- Upload one image or up to 10 images at once.
- Download the optimized image and check its dimensions and file size before uploading.

Why use an exact-size compressor?
Many upload forms reject files for being only slightly too large. TargetKB works backwards from your requested limit, automatically balancing image dimensions and JPEG quality instead of asking you to guess a quality percentage.
Check byte limits, output quality and format limitations if your upload is still rejected.
Frequently asked questions
How do I reduce a photo size to 100KB?
Upload the photo on this page, keep the 100KB target selected, and download the result. JPG is selected by default; you can also choose WebP or PNG.
Can I reduce a picture size to 100KB from PNG?
Yes. With JPG output selected, transparent PNG areas become white. The downloaded JPG may lose detail; check the result and keep your original.
Will the result always be under 100KB?
A successful result is at or below 102,400 bytes (100 × 1,024). It is not padded to an exact size. If a portal means 100,000 bytes, choose 97KB. If the tool cannot meet the selected target, it shows an error instead.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
Image processing happens locally in your browser. Optional analytics is only enabled with your consent and does not receive your image files or filenames.
